Surface Roughness Testers

Surface roughness testers are machines to measure the condition of machined surfaces of parts. In order to evaluate machined surfaces, measurement results are calculated based on a roughness curve. Roughness testers can be contact types that use a probe and non-contact types that use a laser or the like. Contact types use a probe that follows the surface to detect changes.
