Bevel gears, or conical gears, are transmission gears with a cone shape like an umbrella. Bevel gears are used for transmitting force between 2 non parallel axes. The angle between the 2 axes is normally 90 degrees. Bevel gears must only be used with other bevel gears, not together with another gear type, unlike spur gear. The tooth of bevel gears has 2 types, straight bevel gear, and spiral bevel gear.
